OUR ORIGIN STORY
KMD Comics was born in 2021 out of the creative mind of Daniel Lovai, also known as killmongerdan_117, a passionate digital artist hailing from Papua New Guinea. Fuelled by an obsession with comic art styles, Daniel began his journey by crafting short one-shot comics, sharing them with the world on social media. In 2021, one of these one-shots evolved into Chapter 0 of the LoverBoii series, marking the inception of KMD Comics.
Primarily, we are storytellers. KMD Comics specializes in writing, illustrating, and publishing captivating comic series. While our main focus is our original creations, we also extend our artistic prowess to offer illustration services. Moreover, we are on a mission to broaden our horizons by venturing into comic publication for other creators.
What We Do
Milestones & Achievements
Within the past year, KMD Comics has achieved remarkable milestones. We've sold over 150 copies of our first three comic books and garnered attention from prestigious media outlets like The National newspaper and NBC National Radio. Our journey has been enriched with our first sponsorship from Niunet PNG and promising partnerships that fuel our creative momentum.
At KMD Comics, we proudly stand as trailblazers, setting new standards in the comic book industry within our country. Our passion for storytelling drives us to break barriers and create a legacy for future creators.

Dan Aga Lovai
Daniel's background is steeped in journalism and broadcast media. After three years of studying journalism, he delved into the world of broadcast media as a radio personality and news reporter. Currently, Daniel proudly runs the longest-running Papua New Guinean podcast at Niunet PNG.
As the director, writer, and illustrator at KMD Comics, Daniel brings not only artistic talent but also a deep understanding of storytelling and media. His commitment to strength, perseverance, and discipline serves as the guiding force behind every narrative and stroke of the pen.

Graham Ainui Jnr.
Behind the scenes at KMD Comics is Graham Ainui Jnr, the Editor and Social Media Manager. Graham's journey is a tale of versatility and resilience. Six months into his I.T. diploma, Graham took a bold step and transitioned into broadcast media. From 5 years in that field to freelance social media & digital marketing, graphic design and on to event management, Graham's diverse skill set and adaptability make him an integral part of the KMD Comics team.
